Back in Black: Nike SB Trainerendor

A welcome return this week to Flatspot from a really unique hybrid trainer that was pretty much a 'blink and you'll miss it' release last year. Almost exactly 12 months back we had a micro drop of the Nike Trainerendor, part of the ACG line, and they sold out in hours leaving us with just the memory of a killer silhouette. We're therefore pretty excited to have taken stock of a new batch (in more ample supply) revamped with a few subtle differences. The ACG line is all about getting things done and the new Trainerendor is successfully both lightweight and pretty beastly, you can head out doing all sorts of stuff in the great outdoors without dragging round cumbersome footwear.
They have a water-resistant nubuck upper coupled with a scuff-resistant mudguard, heel and corresponding midfoot strap (the big Velcro® back to the future looking bit). The instep of the shoe features breathable diamond mesh construction with reflective detailing throughout. Those soles are pretty serious in White and speckled Phylon with BRS 1000 carbon rubber applications to the outsole to aid with traction. Few very subtle bits of branding, monochrome Swoosh to the side and Nike SB tongue embroidery (the previous edition was 'ACG' branded). The stitched-in pull-on heel strap looks like a tiny chessboard, which we like a lot. Lightweight but rugged, break down the boundaries.
