Gramicci

Autumn/winter ‘19 welcomes an abundance of corduroy and 100% organic cotton trousers and shorts styles from Gramicci that feature signature details which promote everyday wear through their cut and construction. Remaining in tune with their origins and purpose, we highlighted new Gramicci Corduroy Gramicci Pants styles as part of an ongoing On Trend Series at Flatspot which this time around picks out the best new corduroy arrivals which boast timeless allure and are suited to the changing weather and colder temperatures.

Earthy tones of brown, tan and olive stone are favoured for the season against the Organic G Pants and Rockin’ Sport Pants and are no doubt inspired by nature and outdoor climbing which remains at the core of the brand. Black editions offer a go-to shade that can be easily mixed and matched to suit a variety of occasions, whilst flexfit waistbands, deep reach side pockets and gusseted crotch inserts all portray Gramicci’s origins within designing unrestrictive apparel for rock climbing which are as equally suited to relaxed everyday wear. Likewise the Original G Shorts include the same purposeful features for anyone who is a year-round shorts wearer, or is looking ahead to update their

summer wardrobe and are available in brighter shades of orange spice, harbour blue and royal.

For their own take on more traditional hiking and activewear trousers, the Original G Stretch Ripstop Pant uses a hard wearing lightweight blend of nylon ripstop and spandex to enhance the already practical silhouette. And for anyone seeking natural warmth and insulation, the Wool Blend Gramicci Pants feature a subtle checkered pattern which presents a more refined look influenced by traditional menswear.

Gramicci was founded in the 1980s in Yosemite, California, by Mike Graham and some climbing friends. The team developed pioneering detailing that redefined climbing clothing through improving mobility and adding well thought through finishes. They developed the famous diamond shaped gusset which increases movement as well as built in nylon belts, that can easily be adjusted with one hand. Gramicci carry through their established reputation into their division line and are still driven by ‘freedom-of-movement’ and outdoor pursuits.
