Nike SB Orange Label

It’s hard to ignore Nike’s extensive history and groundbreaking designs that have come to light since the brand was founded in 1964, this attitude continues to be translated across the Orange Label line which looks to some of the brands best loved silhouettes for inspiration. Whether it’s the Nike SB Orange Label Dunk Low Pro ‘Safari’ Shoes with a textural cobblestone archival pattern that has been reimagined numerous times but not yet seen on a Dunk Low Pro silhouette, or the first shoe designed by professional skateboarder Leo Baker, the Nike SB Orange Label continually pushes the boundaries of traditional sportswear and looks to their own team of professional riders for constant influence and to ensure the best in skate performance. Paying homage to the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90, the ‘infrared’ Nike SB Orange Label Dunk Low Pro arrived at the start of the new year and incorporated stand out pops of colour that were originally used on the OG model.

Having been launched in 2019 as part of the #supportyourlocalskateshop initiative, the Nike SB Orange Label project was concluded for the year with two distinctive footwear styles created in collaboration with Oskar ‘Oski’ Rozenberg. As his first pro models, the Nike SB Orange Label Dunk High Pro ‘Oski’ chose to present his love and intrigue for sharks through black nubuck suede uppers with blood red accents and two embroidered

sharks on either side of the foot whilst the second footwear model from the release, the Nike SB Orange Label Blazer Mid 'Oski', featured muted bronze corduroy uppers with burnt sienna suede Swoosh ticks and colour matched details.

No stranger to designing Nike SB footwear, the Orange Label Bruin Ultra ‘Ishod’ was released at the end of summer, created by Ishod Wair who opted for a split aesthetic, available in two colourways, crafted from a combination of mesh and suede. The same two tone design continued across sportswear influenced apparel.

Influenced by Nike SB’s origins and crafted specifically for skateboarding, upgraded performance details run throughout each Orange Label release and work to enhance your ride with the help of Nike Zoom Air cushioning and auxetic construction. Every silhouette looks to offer varying levels of focused support and will suit individual preferences. In addition to this, independent stores are promoted via the ‘Support Your Local Skate Store’ programme which means Orange Label styles are only available exclusively through selected skate shops situated across the UK and US. Further releases will continue to showcase the best designs within skateboarding footwear, alongside Nike SB’s brand history which draws in elements from a variety of sports to capture performance orientated craftsmanship, resulting in an elevated skate experience.
