Civilist

Born from a desire to supply premium-quality skatewear to not only Berlin but to the European market as a whole, Civilist have built up a formidable reputation after just over a decade in the game. Founded by Alex Flach and Andreas Hesse in 2009, the team swiftly took up residence in a former art gallery, curated their first collection and the rest was history.

A community and culture-focused brand, Civilist wanted their store to be a space for people from all backgrounds to hang-out in and collaborate. To this day, their Berlin-Mitte store is well-known as the go-to space for all things skate orientated, streetwear-focused and launch-party worthy. Taking influence from Berlin’s historical and contemporary skate scene, club culture, and even from local musicians, artists, skaters and even BMX-riders, each and every one of their collections embodies the brands lust for fresh and faff-free

design, performance-based styling and authentic aesthetics. Something to note, Civilist are a company that proudly manufactures all their apparel and accessories within the EU.

With the change in seasons, Civilist once again arrive on the scene to deliver a spring ‘20 collection like no other. Fresh new designs such as the Civilist Forward T-Shirt work well with the re-worked seasonal colourways to embrace the brands creative direction, whilst styles such as the Civilist Bizarre T-Shirt and the Civilist Berlino T-Shirt showcase heavy influence from the brands admiration for European art-culture, whether its modern, classical or abstract. Arriving in time for the summer months and the eagerly awaited festival season, the Tech Tote, Matters Hip Bag and the Matters Pusher Bag deliver both form and function whilst their fashionable styling helps evoke Civilist’s keen eye for detail and their ability to supply the industry with exactly what it needs without having to ask.
