Driven by a commitment to preserving the past and pushing the future, Born X Raised was launched in 2013 by designer Chris ‘Spanto’ Printup and Alex ‘2Tone’ Erdmann. A namesake that stems from their grassroot origins, the streetwear label remains fuelled by a passion for honouring the old LA, a time when tight knit communities bred the movements of people through shared experiences. Inspired by old Venice memorabilia, film, art and skate culture, Born X Raised’s aesthetic also pays tribute to the stories and memories shared living in a city contrived as a beachside paradise. Unapologetically honest and enriched with details prevalent to Los Angeles’ Native American communities, gang culture and to the genocidal effects that gentrification brought to the city’s most deep rooted communities, Born X Raised want their message to speak the loudest, all whilst having fun telling it.

Styled in the city’s colours with pops of pink to honour LA’s ‘80s and ‘90s era, this Nike SB Dunk Low Pro is crafted with mixed leather and suede uppers with diamond style perforations inspired by classic bandana patterns. Embroidered One Block at a Time toe box detailing represents the brands humble narrative, whilst their On the Turf tagline is repeated across each padded mesh tongue and heel. Featuring a full length cupsole stitching, a semi-translucent rubber outsole and printed Nike SB x Born X Raised underfoot graphics, this navy and white SB Dunk Low Pro also features interchangeable laces detailed with In Loving Memory scripture in honour of co-founder and treasured LA culture champion Chris Printup. Lenticular Swooshes offer an iridescent effect across each midfoot, whilst each padded heel features holographic badging. Finished with embroidered lateral quarter emblems and with photographic print insoles featuring Venice Beach’s iconic pavilion.

Considering themselves documentarians for the city and cultures they hold close, Born X Raised continues to grow, supported by collaborations with the likes of Stussy, Levi’s®, and Dickies. This Nike SB Dunk Low Pro release is also joined by an accompanying video edit featuring LA natives including Freddie Gibbs, Eric Koston and Jesse Martinez.

The draw opens on Wednesday 4th October 2023 at 16:00PM (BST) and closes on Thursday 5th October 2023 at 09.00AM (BST). You can enter the draw here.

Limited to one pair per person. Available to UK residents only.

Winners will be chosen on Friday 6th October 2023 at 08:00AM (BST) and we will aim to confirm both successful and unsuccessful entries within three hours. Winning pairs will start shipping Monday 9th October 2023.

For each release we will invite those interested to enter a draw to purchase prior to the products actual designated time of release. Card payment will be required to register for each draw and your payment will be authorised but the funds not taken by us unless your name is successfully drawn at the designated time and date of the actual release.

If you are unsuccessful in the draw the pre-authorisation will be voided and your funds released, it may take up to five working days before you see your funds available in your account again.
