Nike SB Air Trainer I Orange Label Shoes

(£90.00 GBP)

Medium Grey, Black, White, Chlorophyll

Inspired by the ‘87 silhouette worn by legendary athletes such as John McEnroe and Bo Jackson, these rehashed Air Trainer 1 Orange Label Shoes from Nike SB set about celebrating both sports and sneaker legacy through their creatively redesigned appeal. Styled in the same iconic Chlorophyll colourway that accentuated the OG profile, these high-top skate shoes are styled with brushed-suede and crisp-white leather uppers for added resiliency when paired with any energetic skate style, whilst Zoom Air technology replaces the original Air Bladder midsole with the traction-focused rubber outsole ensuring exemplary boardfeel and grip are adhered to regardless of terrain. Oversplit rubberised foxings help fuse the midsole to the seams of the uppers for a reinforced sense of structure, whilst the perforated toe-box detailings spill round to the lower side-walls to ensure circulatory comfort from each and every angle. Double-up fastenings are maintained through both a hook-and-loop ‘Nike’ branded forefoot closure and a recessed 6-eyelet interchangeable lacing system above, while the padded green-and-white ‘Nike SB Air Trainer’ tongue delivers a playful re-write on its original sportswear design. Solid, half-cut black-suede exterior and interior Swooshes pair nearly with the colour-matched strap-supporting overlays as they wrap around towards the ‘Nike Air’ embroidered lime-green ankle-brace, whilst the padded ¾ high collar is styled with rib-stitched reinforcements for added stability and lateral control. Signed off with custom ‘Nike SB’ insoles and with a sense of archive-revived character, these upgraded Air Trainer 1’s celebrate all there is to admire about parent brand Nike’s passion for life-long performance.

An Orange Label addition that joins the likes of the recently released anime-inspired Dunk High Pros and the Dunk Mid Pro ‘Griffey Jr’ in supporting local skate shops and independent stores, these returning Air Trainer 1 Orange Label Shoes actively embody skate and sports heritage through one unique profile. Following on from their 2012 revival by Nike, Nike SB now sets its sights on making this iconic silhouette a definite go-to for skate.

Continuing parent-brand Nike’s journey to zero carbon and zero waste, Nike’s Move to Zero campaign is one that remains firmly rooted in a commitment to sustainability and environmental activism. Born from a desire to ‘protect the future of sport against climate change’, Nike SB follows in the footsteps of Nike to focus on an aim to reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by 2030 and to divert 99% of all footwear manufacturing waste away from landfills. The inventive use of Nike Grind, recycled polyester and foam scraps helps honour the brand’s loyalty to both performance and premium-grade manufacturing methods.
