Seen here in a stone colourway this Sandeman Shirt from Parlez is made from smooth lightweight cotton canvas which gives the silhouette a practical workwear style. Utilitarian style pockets sit on either side of the chest and include two vertical patch pockets with side entrance points and an additional phone compartment on the left side with a flap closure, all of which have bar track stitching at key stress points for longevity. The front is fastened by colour matched buttons which lead to a spread collar neckline and allow for different styling possibilities throughout the year. On the back a box pleat sits below the shoulder yoke for light shaping and the long sleeves have single button cuffs below a placket detail which means you can roll the fabric to suit. The body has a straight cut hem and on the left side of the front a white square label shows simple ‘Parlez’ lettering in black which adds branding to the design. Flatlock stitched seams can be seen across the design which increase comfort and durability.
Launched in 2012 Parlez is a streetwear and lifestyle brand based in Bristol, UK. Started by two friends Cav and Will, the label has become known for its simple, functional designs and bold artwork which incorporates influences from maritime history and vintage sportswear. For SS20 a coastal colour palette has been selected to suit the seasons and can be seen across re-worked staples and new shirting and outerwear styles.
