The Quiet Life

Founded by photographer and creative Andy Mueller in 1997, The Quiet Life is an inspiring lifestyle clothing company that is full of art, music, photography and outdoor activities. Based in California, the clothing brand goes by the tagline ‘on and off’ which explains Mueller’s approach to design since launching the brand as a side project to his time spent designing for Girl Skateboards and Art Dump.

TQL has an extensive archive of artists the brand has worked with including the likes of L.A based artist Katsuo, Eric Kenney and Luke Day. Known well for their 5 panel hats, TQL has ensured they’re not known as a cap company that designs apparel but a brand that does both equally well. Following previous success, fabrics have been selected from Liberty of London’s extensive range used across U.S.A made 5 panel caps for their latest autumn/winter 2018 collection. The relaxed vibe from The Quiet

Life represents Mueller’s approach to design which is never adding too much where it isn’t needed and not repeating the same thing twice. Relaxed cuts, collaborations with skilled artists and a fun approach to design prove popular with those looking for skate clothing that isn’t overdone with branding or details.

Growing up as a keen skateboarder, BMXer and photographer, Mueller’s upbringing continues to inspire him across all of his projects. The Quiet Life promotes its own camera club which encourages photographers of all levels and ages to submit their work, resulting in an online space full of images taken around the world.

Fresh for the up and coming cooler seasons, we’ve got some lightweight long sleeve tees, sweats and caps here at Flatspot, all ideal for mixing and matching whilst showing off The Quiet Life’s new season artwork.
