Designed in collaboration with legendary skater Tony Trujillo, these monochrome Vans TNT Advanced Prototype Shoes feature black suede uppers with mesh inserts and screen printed rubber in high wear areas. Contrast white top stitching accentuates different panels across the design, including the toe vamp, heel and signature side stripes on either side of the foot. On the inside of the foot a white leather stripe can be seen whereas on the other mesh has been selected to increase ventilation with two metal eyelets below. The lace up fastening helps to keep the foot in place with a woven label above on top of the mesh tongue showing stylised ‘Vans Trujillo’ text. Pro Vulc Lite construction ensures this style has the best in flex and traction which is enhanced by DURACAP reinforcements in high wear areas. For comfort the collar of the ankle is padded and the sockliner features an UltraCush Lite 3D footbed which is the most advanced footbed from Vans Pro Skate which provides unrivalled support, cushioning and boardfeel. Completing the design, the brown waffle outsole is a signature feature of Vans footwear and provides reliable grip.
This edition of the Vans TNT Advanced Prototype reflects a combination of Vans’ heritage and their eye for innovation when it comes to skate footwear. Features such as WaffleControl, Wafflecup, Duracap and UltraCush have been developed to provide protection from impact whilst a classic look is synonymous with the brands history. Established by the Van Doren brothers in 1966, Vans remains based in California where it built an iconic reputation for being the go-to shoe for skaters who still swear by the brand today.
