Made using modern seam-free construction techniques, these Rowley Rapidweld Pro Shoes have asphalt coloured uppers and custom graphics that signify the models return 20 years after its debut. Designed to be skate-ready from unboxing, breathable mesh and durable suede has been selected for the uppers to achieve a clean and hard wearing finish. Signature side stripes have been cut from a colour matched synthetic material and placed on top of the mesh cutouts on either side of the foot, whilst a ‘Vans Off The Wall [ROWLEY]’ vinyl label has been attached at the top of the tongue. Black cotton laces offer a secure fastening and at the top of the toes a cut out mesh section increases breathability before continuing across the top layer of the tongue. The lace border is strengthened by suede and synthetic fabrics and throughout the inside a soft fabric lining has been inserted for comfort. Working in harmony with the cushioned underside of the tongue, an UltraCushHD sockliner has been inserted for impact support. The black rubber midsole features an additional textured panel around the front of the toes and the Vans signature waffle outsole completes the style whilst providing a high level of skate-focused grip.
Released in celebration of twenty years since the initial debut of the Geoff Rowley pro model in the early 2000’s, this shoe is coloured in a heritage asphalt tone and features a custom graphic around the back of the heel. Signifying the founding year of Vans and the very first Rowley shoe release, ‘66/99’ has been embossed into the material for a subtle finish. Additionally the ‘19’ in the colourway highlights the latest reissue. Born in Liverpool but now residing in California, Geoff Rowley was awarded Thrasher’s Skater of The Year in 2000 and recently unveiled his own board company named Free Dome.
