Constructed from a combination of suede and durable synthetic materials, these desert taupe Vans Rowan Pro Shoes have a distinctive look and have arrived as part of the first capsule selection of Rowan Zorilla pro styles. Around the toe vamp and laces border brown coloured suede has been selected to ensure durability with side sections that continue to protect the ollie area. The padded fabric tongue and laces are coloured in the same shade of brown and a square woven Vans Rowan label has been stitched close to the top edge of the tongue with plum coloured accents. On either side of the foot stand out sections of lighter coloured fabric have been added with subtle top stitching that traces the outline of the Vans signature side stripe. Two metal eyelets sit on the inner side panel to encourage ventilation and on the back of the heel a curved leather insert provides a background for an embossed version of the logo that can be seen on the tongue label. A curved brown suede section sits below and throughout the inside a fabric lining has been added for comfort alongside a removable, moulded PopCush footbed and tongue-centuring straps. A red and white Vans Off The Wall heel stamp sits on the back of the matte black sickSTICK rubber outsole which will stand up to repetitive abrasions whilst underfoot the tread pattern has a waffle-hexagon profile that increases grip, flexibility and durability.
It’s been a long time coming but Rowan Zorilla has been given his first pro model for the start of 2020. Having been signed to Vans since 2013 the release has been celebrated by the model being introduced in a variety of colourways, accompanied by custom apparel designs. Known for his adaptive style and playful personality, Rowan grew up in Vista, California where he became a part of the skate crew ‘Shep Dawgs’, which includes the likes of Taylor Smith, Riley Hawk, Nick Popes and Tanner Cribbs.
