Vans have teamed up with Copenhagen skate store Street Machine once more to create a capsule range of footwear styles that boast a refined low key aesthetic. This pair of Vans Mid Skool Pro Shoes have dress blue coloured ripstop side panels which have a subtle surface texture and black leather side stripes layered on top secured by neat white top stitching. Durable black suede has been selected for the toe vamp and laces border with a curved panel of ventilation added around the front of the toes which encourages breathability. Above this true white cotton laces help to keep the fit secure and the tongue has a suede topside with fabric underneath. A square woven label wraps around the top edge of the tongue with a subtle Vans Off The Wall logo design in black and dress blue. Around the back of the heel a curved black suede overlay has been added and connects to the edge of the ankle which has cushioning for comfort. Throughout the inside a fabric lining has been added alongside a customised UltraCush HD sockliner which has a grey tone marble print design. A reinforced toe cap has been added onto the true white rubber outsole as well as a red Vans Off The Wall heel stamp whilst underfoot a signature waffle outsole provides a high level of grip.
Having first collaborated in 2012 for a three piece collection of footwear inspired by Copenhagen’s most iconic skate spots, Vans and Street Machine have created two new footwear designs for the end of 2019 to pay homage to the famous Jarmers Plaza through two well known skate shoe silhouettes reinterpretted with a finely tuned selection of materials. Founded by Tobia Sloth in 1989 the first Street Machine store was located in Paris before a second was opened in San Diego and the third in Sloth’s home city of Copenhagen.
