Presenting Vans’ most technically advanced skate shoe yet, the AVE Pro Shoes have been designed in collaboration with pro rider Anthony Van Engelen. Seen here in a (rainy day) forest night colourway and built with Rapidweld no-sew technology against synthetic mesh uppers, the toe vamp is shaped with a debossed style line and areas of mesh are accentuated across the sides of the foot with black side stripes layered on top. The laces are held in place by a smooth synthetic border and have been colour matched to suit the rest of the design whilst the mesh tongue has a collaborative label that has been attached above. On the inner panel of the foot additional suede has been added in a key abrasion area as well as on the back of the heel. Throughout the inside a LuxLiner has been added for optimum fit and durability whilst DURACAP underlays strengthen high stress areas. Underfoot a translucent Ultimate Waffle outsole offers impact cushioning, superior boardfeel and a stabilizing shank for perfectly balanced support.
Only putting his name to the best of what Vans has to offer, San Diego native Anthony Van Engelen has worked with Vans to create the AVE Pro Shoes which features a host of advanced performance driven features to deliver the best in boardfeel, support and comfort which will enhance all-day skate sessions. Having won Thrasher’s Skater of the Year award in 2015, Engelen continues to ride for Vans, Fucking Awesome, Independent and Spitfire.
