Pop Trading Company Joost Swarte Crewneck Sweatshirt

Designed in collaboration with Joost Swarte, a Dutch cartoonist and graphic designer, this heather grey Joost Swarte Crewneck Sweatshirt from Pop Trading Company is made from soft heavyweight cotton and features custom artwork on the centre of the chest. As a casual, comfortable everyday style, the curved neckline has a narrow ribbed trim and a centralised ‘v-stitch’ detail sits below as a reference to classic leisurewear styles. The shoulder seams have been brought forward and flatlock stitching can be seen around the arm seams, shoulders, cuffs and hem of the body. Applied in black ink for a stand out effect, a playful illustration created by Joost adds a playful touch with stylised ‘Pop Trading Company’ lettering below, in addition to embroidered text around the left side of the body. Underneath the armholes embroidered ventilation eyelets encourage breathability when active and wide ribbed trims wrap around the edge of the body and long sleeves.

Best known for his ligne clair or clear line style of drawing - a term coined by himself - Joost Swarte has created a selection of comic series’ and characters that includes Katoen en Pinbal, Jopo de Pojo, Anton Makassar and Dr Ben Cine which each have a place within Danish history and the country’s creative industry.
