Nike SB x Samborghini Nyjah Free 2 Premium Shoes in Light Photo Blue, Metallic Silver and Game Royal. Designed in collaboration with Sam Bledsoe’s Seattle-based brand, team rider Nyjah Huston’s pioneering skate silhouette receives a creative uplift in the form of the Nike SB x Samborghini Nyjah Free 2 Premium. Pairing all parties’ admiration for expressive design and noted sense of restless energy, these low collared sneakers feature rubberised uppers in shades of washed black, whilst the gradient mesh panels provide elevated ventilation from first wear. A contoured rubber outsole is designed to flex with natural movement, whilst the internal ¾ length sleeve creates a sock-like fit thanks to its integrated cushioned bootie. A traction orientated underfoot tread makes light work of challenging terrains, whilst the cushioned foam sockliner is a complement to the design’s lightweight blueprint and its performance focused construction. The advanced ghillie loop lacing system secures the padded ‘Nyjah’ branded tongue across the natural arch of the foot, whilst the metallic toned sidewall Swooshes are paired with reflective eyelet loop details for added after-dark function. A bright red mini Swoosh appears across each reinforced toe bumper, whilst tonal ‘Nike SB’ and ‘Samborghini’ print branding appears either side of the heel brace, with the ‘II’ embroidered heel pull dividing its commemorative sign off. In keeping with the collection’s aesthetic, custom panther styled insoles are mirrored across each shoe, with the piercing orange eyes and icy colouring a tribute to its chosen colour palette.
Inspired by wordplay, pop culture reference and the archived works of Harold Hunter’s Zoo York, Sam Bledsoe’s Samborghini is a tongue-in-cheek streetwear brand known for their out the box designs and their creative graphic prints. Pairing odes to memorabilia with a passion for skate culture and progressive design, Samborghini is a brand that has evolved tenfold from its original Instagram-only days.
