Parlez x Flatspot
We’ve teamed up with Bristol streetwear and lifestyle brand Parlez to design an exclusive collaborative collection. The release combines both labels through staple styles that showcase stand out embroidery, heavy fonts and layered bold colour screen prints. When the duo approached us to collaborate, it was a total no-brainer, we were stoked at the idea of two South West UK minds coming together to create a capsule selection of apparel and 5-panel caps, designed and customised in England.
Cav and Will are the duo behind Parlez. We linked up with the fellow South Westers in early 2017 when we first starting selling their goods. Their sharp range of cotton tees, sweats, rugby shirts and ¼ pullovers are killing it, earning them a strong reputation on the independent streetwear scene; no real surprise thanks to their top quality and stand out aesthetics. The influence from their coastal surroundings - Bristol being a former port turned cultural goldmine - is clear. Cav, a keen sailor and the mind behind the designs, takes influence from the rich history of sailing, applies it to classic sportswear silhouettes and executes them through modern street culture styling.
A shared coastal location has lead to some memorable graphics in this collection, the Yankee editions feature stacked text referencing both Parlez and Flatspot, completed with a diamond sectioned sailing flag. The ranger tees and sweatshirt have a simple sailing boat icon, offering a classic stripped back graphic, reminiscent of a vintage style. We’re particularly psyched by the two ¼ zip styles, the Resolute ¼ Zip Sweatshirt in navy and the Hanuman ¼ zip sweatshirt in heather grey. Both offer unique embroidery, plus the custom sailing flag. We reckon these are both instant winners, and if you were wondering, the coordinates direct you to Bristol city centre. Try it.
We used Parlez’s trusty Bristol based printed screen printer for the complex five layer print designs, best seen on the Parlez X Flatspot Topaz t-shirt, check out that killer abstract graphic. Embroidery has also been added in Bristol, keeping the production as local as possible.
We’re releasing an exclusive run of each style, available in limited numbers. Be sure to grab your favourite styles asap, they won’t be available for long.
