Founded in 1979, on the west-coast of the States, Stussy has been a staple of streetwear culture for four decades drawing inspiration from the Californian surf community as well as global subcultures. This played into a niche market which eventually spiralled in popularity alongside surfwear, and within twenty years Stussy became an instantly recognisable brand working alongside the likes of Nike SB, G-Shock and Slam Jam Socialism while operating in continents across the world through sixty stores.
