A credible initiative launched in early 2019, the Nike SB Orange Label project celebrates some of the most iconic footwear and apparel profiles to date through their exclusive use of premium-grade materials dedicated to both performance and personalised expression. Linking up with team-riders such as Ishod Wair, Oskar Rozenberg and NYC Skate Project pioneer Leo Baker, the well-respected Orange Label collection honours skate-specific function and time-honoured partnerships in their finest form.

Evolving from its OG multi-part monochrome release for February 2019, featuring Black Pack reiterations of profiles such as the Nike SB Bruin, the Nike SB Lunar Gato and the Nike SB Dunk Mid, the Orange Label collection has continued to gain momentum across the skate community, with a juxtaposing White Pack launching just three months later in May. Inspired by its own #supportyourlocalskateshop mantra and its drive to promote the fundamentals of both the local and the international skate scene, the project has since become home to some of the most impressive skate-centric profiles to date, including memorable releases such as Swedish pro-rider ‘Oski’s ‘ocean apex predator’ inspired Nike SB Dunk High, the nostalgia-induced ‘96-spun ‘Griffey Jr’ Dunk Mid Pro and Kevin Bradley’s ‘Kevin and Hell’ ethereal release from earlier this year.

A three-part instalment that takes aim at celebrating luxe aesthetics and ageless appreciations for the brand’s honourable courtside roots, a midnight-navy triage composed of a Dunk Low Pro, a Dunk High Pro and a revitalised Blazer Low GT enter the ever-expanding rosta as we draw 2020 to a close. All firm favourites when it comes to precision-engineered performance and boardfeel, Nike’s latest Orange Label footwear release sets its sights on honouring tradition once more, whilst the accompanying release of apparel keeps things fuss-free and led by function.

Following in succession of the colour-block Blazer GTs from Nike’s recent ‘Inverted’ Pack, team-rider Grant Taylor’s iconic low-top silhouette receives its own Orange Label rewrite. Smooth navy suede pairs with tumbled black-leather across the iconic sidewall Swooshes to honour both function and fashionable fit, whilst the stark and contrasting crisp-white midsole, gum-rubber outsole and Nike’s innovative Zoom Air unit remain dedicated to upholding their performance-orientated goals. Commemorative ‘Nike SB’ Orange Label edition tongues are mirrored by custom-designed Orange Label insoles to help honour Taylor’s legendary profile in line with contemporary purpose.

Answering the calls of both Dunk Low and Dunk High appreciatives, the coordinating pro profiles complement each other to finalise this three-piece series in style. Both adhering to the same midnight-navy, black, white and gum-brown colourway as their Blazer Low GT sibling, these reimagined sneakers remain ever-loyal to their basketball roots with the carried-forward inclusion of Nike’s game-changing Zoom Air Unit across the heel and with traction-focused pivot circle underfoot detailings honouring both profile’s ties to heritage sports culture. Tumbled black-leather trims bring added textural depth to the Dunks, with both the 6-eyelet Low and the 8-eyelet High providing the perfect balance between exemplary boardfeel and revolutionary comfort.
