We’re stoked on the level of detail in the Vans x Independent range, best seen on the selection of high durability focused footwear. The Vans x Independent TNT Advanced Prototype Shoes come in a sunflower colourway, a mustard hue update of the recently released TNT Advanced Prototype - the signature shoe from Vans skater Tony Trujillo. This low top lace-up style has suede and mesh uppers and contrast black style side stripes including one made from mesh to let out heat, helping to keep your foot cool. Blending the collab mix seamlessly, this style has a custom Vans x Trujillo woven label on the tongue and a quad of the distinctive Independent black cross logos on the midsole. A sick detail on this style is a TNT Advanced Prototype exclusive wafflecup pattern which has been designed to extend grip and durability.
The mix of classic Vans heritage and the introduction of new technology for increased comfort and longevity is combined super well, featuring the new UltraCush Lite™ 3D footbed which is the most advanced footbed available in the Vans Pro Skate range and the Pro Vulc Lite which gives amazing flex and traction. Like other styles in the range, this pair has been given the DURACAP™ treatment meaning high-wear areas have been reinforced, seriously increasing durability from hard wear. Tying in the styles from this range is a metallic silver single foxing stripe (inspired by Independent's silver trucks), plus a Vans checkerboard sole lining with the Independent cross logo mixed in. This style comes with a choice of matching mustard cotton laces or if you want to contrast, white is also included.
The Vans x Independent collab marks the 40th anniversary of the Independent Truck Company. Detail and durability have been put to the top of the list for this collab, featuring a rad blend of classic Vans styles, Independent branding and new technology meaning the products are set to see you through some hard wearing.
