Seen here in a pumice colourway with a split design across the chest, this Cotton in Conversion T-Shirt from Patagonia is part of a new line of styles that use cotton that is farmed organically but not yet certified as organic. Styled similarly to retro football t-shirts, organic cotton 1x1 ribbed twill tape wraps around the the curved neckline and matches the edge of the short sleeves. Branding has been kept to a minimum for a classic look, with a small rectangular woven label on the left side of the chest showing the famous Patagonia mountain range logo. The body has a straight cut hem.
In support of farmers transitioning from chemical to certified organic farming, this new season t-shirt is part of a movement towards more sustainable, less damaging manufacturing systems that consider soil and environmental impact within production. For years Patagonia has been championing organic and recycled materials but is now going one step further for their spring 2020 campaign by promoting their ‘Road to Regenerative Revolution’ campaign and designs that support efforts by farmers to be more sustainable.
