Built with skate focused features that deliver comfort, support and flexibility this edition of the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro Shoes has been updated with jade horizon coloured nubuck uppers, a padded textile tongue, pale ivory accents and a gum rubber cupsole. Perforation encourages ventilation across the toe vamp whilst colour matched laces above help to keep the fit secure above the highly cushioned textile tongue. On either side of the foot pale ivory coloured Swoosh ticks add distinctive branding to the style and continue around the back of the heel where a curved heel tab provides a base for embroidered ‘NIKE’ lettering. For support from high impacts the ankle has a padded collar with a jade horizon coloured textile lining and the tongue is edged with piping for a neat finish. The flexible gum rubber cupsole delivers a high level of grip with a specific tread design that includes a pivot circle under the forefoot.
First designed by Peter Moore in 1985 the Nike Dunk has a rich history within basketball and was re-introduced through the Nike SB line after the late Sandy Bodecker suggested that the model be engineered specifically for skateboarders. Appealing to anyone who’s a fan of chunkier footwear styles that capture the essence of old school skate footwear, the Dunk remains a stand out style within the brands extensive collection of styles and is continually reworked for seasonal releases and exclusive collaborations.
