Converse x Pop Trading Company x Miffy JP Pro Hi Shoes in Black, Egret and Egret. Inspired by the legendary Dick Bruna’s Nijntje character and arriving as part of the second chapter in Pop Trading Company’s Miffy collection, the Converse JP Pro Hi receives a nostalgic rewrite inspired by childhood memorabilia and skate-centric function. Styled with uppers crafted from reinforced cotton-corduroy for a workwear-minded undertone, these high-collar skate shoes feature Converse’s iconic traction-tread rubber outsole, a CX foam sockliner and remastered Jack Purcell smile detailing styled with custom ‘Pop Trading Company’ branding across the block-tone rubber toe-cap. Extended off-white foxings wrap around the design to ensure increased abrasion-resistance, whilst the tonal 9-eyelet flat lacing system complements the thick-wale corded design to secure the winged and internally-illustrated tongue across the natural arch of the foot. Redesigned to host a tighter-fit for increased boardfeel and flex, this leather-lined sneaker is signed off with embroidered Miffy detailings across the uppers, whilst custom Converse CONS x Pop Trading Company block-tone insoles are complemented by split-profile ‘Converse CONS’ and ‘POP’ debossed heel-license scabs.
Following on from the recently released dragon-skin Converse x Pop Trading Company JP Pro Hi and Amsterdam-based Pop Trading Company’s continued Miffy release, this three-part collaborative sneaker, the Converse x Pop Trading Company x Miffy JP Pro Hi, sets its sights on commemorating the classic courtside heritage alongside odes to youthful nostalgia and Converse’s infamous Jack Purcell legacy.
