Designed with a prism violet polyester shell, quilted padded lining and custom embroidery this Carhartt x Motown Varsity Jacket has been released as part of a thirteen-piece capsule range that celebrates the 60th anniversary of Motown Records. Designed for everyday wear the sleeves have been cut to a raglan shape to allow for movement and to capture the look of traditional sports leisurewear. The outer has a satin-like finish which adds a premium touch whilst wide ribbed trims wrap around the neckline, sleeve cuffs and hem of the body with a black and white two tone stripe pattern that encourage a secure but comfortable fit. The front is fastened by a full length zip and on the left side of the chest script writing reads ‘Motown & Carhartt’ in a curved line above ‘Detroit’ which signifies the special collaboration. For storage of essential items two welt pockets have been added at the waist and an internal pocket sits on the left side to keep any valuables out of sight. Decoration continues on the reverse through a large embroidered Motown ‘M’ emblem which has been stitched in white using a textural technique and underneath capitalised lettering reads ‘Carhartt WIP Motown Records’ with ‘Detroit, MI’ in bold underneath.
