Taikan

Conceived from the desire to create simple, functional and timeless accessories that the team felt was lacking from the modern market, Taikan Everything - pronounced ‘Taken’ -  is a Canadian brand based in Vancouver that focuses on using aspirational silhouettes constructed from premium fabrics.

Driven by their purpose of solving the need for versatile bags, totes and duffels that are obtainable through sensible price points, what makes each design so appealing is a close attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship. Noticeable through the use of ballistic nylon, leather and nickel hardware that are commonly used within each

collection, contemporary colour tones enhance the selection of basic shapes that suit use in daily life for work, play and travel.

Using upmarket designs as inspiration, finer points such as metal fet within their duffels and tote provide additional protection to increase the longevity of the design which don’t interfere with the aesthetic, and minimalist branding nods to their mission of capturing what they call is the ‘aesthetic of tomorrow’. Summarised through their designs being tastefully minimal but with a loud global message, Taikan Everything follow a simple design theory of using less to offer more.
