as opposed to standard shelf blanks, attention to detail and personalised touches help North capsules to stand out whilst also acting as a representation of what the magazine is all about. Purposeful camera bags are also on offer alongside clothing and are the perfect size for carrying essential photography equipment, such as film canisters, whilst embroidery and screen print techniques are used to showcase stylised artwork for further character. As their first release for the new year, for SS21 new two tone colour designs such as the North Skateboard Magazine Connected Logo T-Shirt and North Skateboard Magazine Film Gallery Logo Hoodie show references to digital communication and the brand’s own Film Gallery. 

As an independent film based skateboard photography magazine, North Skateboard Magazine launched its first issue in March 2012 having been a work in progress by founder Graham Tait during the previous year. A well-known name within Edinburgh’s skate scene following his decade-long reign running Focus skate store, Tait combines his love for skateboarding and photography to create each quarterly issue of the magazine. Welcoming submissions around the world, each issue captures the best in analogue photography from both Tait and select creatives via print and digital publications which ensure each release can be viewed and appreciated globally.
