Vans Skate MC VCU Shoes Boys Of Summer in Ako and Atiba. Co-designed by skater Atiba Jefferson and his twin brother and Vans Art Director Ako Jefferson, the Vans Skate MC VCU arrives as part of the brand’s latest Boys of Summer capsule. A Mark Carroll OG pro model, this rendition has been stlyed with black nubuck uppers and a padded mid-collar cut, these archive influenced skate shoes feature a perforated toe box, revised DURACAP reinforcements, a PopCush footbed and all-new two part rubber foxings. Detailed with a translucent rubber outsole with cursive ‘Boys of Summer’ branding, with asymmetric ‘Ako Jefferson’ and ‘Atiba Jefferson’ signatures printed across each underfoot and each padded white tongue. A ghillie-loop lacing system secures the part-mesh tongue in place, whilst perforations outline the classic Vans side wall stripe and metallic ventilation eyelets appear across the inner walls. Finished with Vans’ Skate Classics collection checkerboard flag label, with bright red insoles and with ‘Off The Wall Skateboarding’ heel scabs.

Known for their 2015 edit, their follow-up ‘Boys of Summer 2’ release from 2019 and for last year’s three-part Vans capsule, this latest Vans x Boys of Summer release arrives as a celebration of the friendships that make skateboarding fun. A tribute to emerging and established skaters, the Boys of Summer legacy is one that celebrates good times, friendships and the sense of community instilled by contemporary skate culture.
