This monochrome Islander Cap from Helas features stylised lettering on the centre front of the crown and is made from a blend of cotton and elastane for a smooth, comfortable finish. Constructed to a classic 6-panel shape, the peak is slightly curved with multiple lines of contrasting white top stitching that matches detailing around the rest of the hat including white embroidered eyelets within each segment of the crown. Stitched centrally below, bold ‘hélas’ lettering has been applied with a white outline for a stand out effect. Around the back of the hat, a self-fabric strap closure allows you to resize the fit to suit with a customised umbrella graphic clip closure and within the cap the seams have been taped for comfort.
This season Paris-based Hélas have taken a trip down memory lane to create ‘80s inspired apparel and accessories that boast a distinctive summer vibe thanks to new screen printed graphics and decorative patterns coloured in bright, cheerful colour tones. Introduced in 2011 as a headwear brand, Hélas was founded by pro skateboarder Lucas Puig and his business partners Clement Brunel and Stephen Khou who look to classic sportswear for constant inspiration in the hope of creating ‘French Lacoste Steeze’ styles.
