Still moving: Cam Loki Ash
Part of still moving, a winter series exploring movement when things get quieter.
Winter shifts the rhythm.
The sessions don’t stop, but they change shape. When the weather turns, skating moves between moments. Waiting for breaks in the rain. Finding dry ground. Making use of whatever the day offers.
For Cam Loki Ash, winter often shifts the focus from skating to building
Time moves into the workshop. Tools laid out. Materials shaped and adjusted. Ramps taking form piece by piece. Hands busy. Attention steady. Something gradually coming together.
Making and skating share the same patience.
Both rely on feel. Pressure, timing, repetition. Small adjustments that slowly change the result. The same focus that carries through whether it’s wood, concrete, or wheels touching ground.
Some days the board comes out.
Other days the work happens here first.
Either way, the rhythm continues.
Still moving.
