Preview: Vans Pro Footwear Fall 17 - August Drop

Vans hooked us up early with some shoes that are going to be releasing soon as part of their Fall / Winter 2017 range.

We took our man Jack Gorham out to wear them and see how they’d look on foot in order to allow you to make an early decision on what pair you’ll copping once they release on our site.

Out of the selection we were given we chose to focus on three separate models with completely different silhouettes.

Firstly we picked out the Vans Epoch Pro in golden ochre for its streamlined silhouette and minimalistic aesthetic.

Jack managed to bean plant onto the crustiest, longest rail on the most narrow path Totnes had to offer in the Vans Epoch Pro shoes. Constructed with a full suede upper that incorporates Duracap rubber underlays for a durable reinforcement that allows the shoe to be extremely durable, making it a worthy cop if you’re looking for a new skate shoe.

With its fresh golden ochre colour way, Vans didn’t need to go over board on the branding and they’ve executed it perfectly. Flaunting a Vans woven flag label on the outside of the shoe and the iconic red ‘Off The Wall’ rubber heel stamp as the only two points of detailing, the Epoch Pro is the minimalistic skate shoe that adds a pop of colour to your rotation you’ve always been looking for.

Secondly we chose the introductory signature model from Kyle Walker, which comes in a sick combination of purple dawn and white. With a suede upper as well as canvas for the collar the Vans Kyle Walker Pro is built to last through those skate sessions.

Featuring the UltraCush HD insoles that provide superior impact protection, Jack had no problem sending the hippie jump through the signage post and landing comfortably on the Vans waffle cup outsole that offers the support of a capsule with no loss of board feel or grip that you get with a traditional vulcanised sole.

The classic Vans side stripe comes in 3M reflective material so it really shines off the purple dawn suede when it catches the light. Featuring a Kyle Walker patch on the tongue as detailing, which gets finished off with a purple dawn and white Vans woven flag label on the outside of the shoe.

Finishing up with the classic and most popular Vans silhouette of all, the Old Skool Pro, which comes in the sickest combination of black and gum, we couldn't not take it out for a spin.

Just like the previous two pairs we chose, the Vans Old Skool Pro has a suede upper with Duracap rubber underlay reinforcements in those high wear areas to give you unrivalled durability. And not forgetting to mention the UltraCush HD insoles for comfort and impact protection.

The all black upper, including the iconic Vans side stripe, which comes in a black leather looks incredibly clean sat upon the full gum vulcanised midsole and Vans original waffle outsole. Again like the previously stated Vans shoes, this timeless silhouette received the minimalistic approach for detailing with a woven label on the outside of the shoe and the “Off The Wall” rubber heel stamp.

Conclusively it looks as if Vans are keeping things solid as ever with their Fall / Winter 2017 range by presenting you with impeccably built skate shoes that are minimal and versatile so they can be incorporated into any outfit combination that come up with.

Keep an eye on our website and social media for when the Vans Fall / Winter 17 range lands in August, so you can cop yourself a fresh new pair of shoes for skating or chilling.
