Nike SB x froSkate Dunk High Pro

Chicago’s first collective for the non-traditional skate community, Nike SB partners with froSkate for their latest Nike SB Dunk. Founded by Karlie Thornton in 2019, froSkate exists as a space to provide inclusive experiences, resources and equity for the BIPOC, femme and trans, queer, and gender nonconforming (TQGNC) skate community.

Starting as three friends hanging out, the froSkate community has continued to expand, becoming a safe space for women, trans, queer, gender non-conforming and people of colour to meet and share in their passion for skate. A celebration of diversity and acceptance, froSkate continues to bridge the gap between the two, with their mission being one unapologetically focused on ‘inclusion, representation and having a great time’. Since their official launch in 2019, the froSkate community has hosted over 70 events, a number of regular meet-ups and has donated over 100 skate supplies across Chicago and beyond.

Embossed with an ‘All Love, No Hate’ motto across each white leather side wall with heart-shaped toe box perforations, the Nike SB x froSkate Dunk High Pro celebrates inclusivity and freedom of expression at its core. Featuring mix-match colour block overlays for a colourful twist, this co-designed Nike Dunk also features a classic Zoom Air unit, a cushioned foam midsole and a transparent rubber cupsole that exposes a multicoloured pattern beneath. Interchangeable laces allow for quick and easy customisation, whilst the alternating padded mesh tongues are styled with both ‘All Love, No Hate’ and ‘froSkate’ embroidered flag labels. Finished with black leather side Swooshes, quilted collar linings, printed pattern insoles and with practical leather pull tabs sewn across each heel.

A follow on from the recent Nike SB ‘Be True’ Dunk Low and KCDC skate shop’s Dunk High Pro, the Nike SB x froSkate Dunk High Pro is released alongside its own skate edit. Exploring the lived experiences as skaters of colour by merging two staple aspects of life, the ‘Beauty Supply’ and the ‘Skate Shop’. Featuring Chicago’s black-owned Jordans Beauty Supply, as well as skaters Lauren Brew and Karlie Thornton.

Due to the limited numbers of the Nike SB x froSkate Dunk High Pro we are making the shoe available via our Releases.flatspot site on a Raffle to purchase basis.

The draw opens on Tuesday 16th August at 17:00PM (BST) and closes on Thursday 18th August 2022 at 08:00AM (BST). You can enter the draw here.

Limited to one pair per person. Available to UK residents only.

Winners will be chosen on Thursday 18th August 2022 at 12:00PM (BST) and we will aim to confirm both successful and unsuccessful entries within three hours. Winning pairs will start shipping Friday 19th August 2022.

For each release we will invite those interested to enter a draw to purchase prior to the products actual designated time of release. Card payment will be required to register for each draw and your payment will be authorised but the funds not taken by us unless your name is successfully drawn at the designated time and date of the actual release.

If you are unsuccessful in the draw the pre-authorisation will be voided and your funds released, it may take up to five working days before you see your funds available in your account again.
