Nike SB x Ben & Jerry's 'Chunky Dunky' Dunk Low Pro

Arriving as part of an exclusive Nike SB skate store release, the Nike SB x Ben & Jerry's 'Chunky Dunky' Dunk Low Pro Shoes capture the essence of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and have been designed in collaboration with the fun-loving brand in limited numbers. Sure to be one of the most hyped releases of the year, premium materials have been utilised across the design to execute a playful aesthetic with a certain finesse that is guaranteed with any Nike SB shoe design. These shoes pack a punch with a variety of textures, colours and prints incorporated alongside signature Nike SB Dunk features that continue to make this model one of the brands most sought after and celebrated.

Appropriately named the ‘Chunky Dunky’ as a spinoff of one of Ben & Jerry’s best loved flavours the ‘Chunky Monkey’, a monochrome faux cowhide border houses the smooth leather uppers which have a decorative green and blue printed landscape design that continues around the back of the heel where painted clouds are accentuated by embroidered outlines. The lagoon pulse coloured toe box is perforated to encourage ventilation and above the laces - which arrive in three different colours; white, yellow and green - connect to the cowhide border that matches the fabric selected for the tongue. Adding a further burst of colour to the shoe, rainbow tie-dye piping wraps around the edge of the tongue and continues across the lining of the shoe. A woven label showing signature Nike SB branding sits below the lower edge of the tongue with university gold coloured ‘Chunky Dunky’ lettering underneath in addition to another on the underside of the tongue that displays the famous Ben & Jerry’s logo above a quote by co-founder Jerry Greenfield reading ‘If It’s Not Fun, Why Do It?’. As a defining feature of this collaborative design, bold elongated Swoosh ticks sit on either side of the shoe and feature a curved lower edge that mimics the look of melting ice cream whilst on the back of the heel bold ‘Nike’ lettering sits on top of a curved black panel.

Performance features associated with the Nike SB Dunk remain in place to ensure suitability for all-day wear both on and off a skateboard, including the OG padded tongue for a high level of comfort and a Zoom Air unit sits within the tie dye sockliner to help absorb impact for further protection. The rubber outsole has a full cupsole stitch which increases the durability of the shoe and the tread pattern underneath has a circular design that includes a forefront pivot point.

Founded in 1978 by two friends, Ben Cohen a craft teacher and Jerry Greenfield a lab technician, Ben and Jerry’s are known for their high quality ice cream which was named by Times magazine in 1981 as ‘the best ice cream in the world’. Whilst we’re spoilt for choice nowadays with an array of flavours, ingredients and producers, Ben & Jerry’s have managed to maintain their reputation for over 30 years with an immediately recognisable aesthetic that tells their story whilst promoting fun.

Winners will be chosen on Saturday 23rd May 2020 at 08:00AM (BST) and we will aim to confirm both successful and unsuccessful entries within three hours. Winning pairs will start shipping on Tuesday 26th May.

For each release we will invite those interested to enter a draw to purchase prior to the products actual designated time of release. Card payment will be required to register for each draw and your payment will be authorised but the funds not taken by us unless your name is successfully drawn at the designated time and date of the actual release.

If you are unsuccessful in the draw the pre-authorisation will be voided and your funds released, it may take up to five working days before you see your funds available in your account again.
