'Quarter Snacks' Quickstrike drop from Nike SB
Launching Saturday 23rd August at 9am we're stoked to bring you a special edition Quickstrike Premium Low Dunk from Nike SB.
Quartersnacks, a New York based online Skate magazine, have collaborated with Nike SB on a deluxe edition of the Low Dunk silhouette. When asked about it,
Quartersnacks played it very cool; "Every Nike SB collaboration has a bit of a 'story' to it. We could sit here and peddle some narrative where everyone wears all black to hide the dirt from skating the city all day, and how all the reflective details make you stand out between the cabs while night skating, but thatâd be nonsense... A black skate shoe never falls out of fashion or function. That was our template."
Frank as they are about making a shoe that primarily looks great, this edition has been really thought out. The upper is all suede with toe-box style perforations running along the sides and heel of the shoe for better ventilation and the padded tongue is constructed from Ripstop fabric. The 25¢ logo rides on the tongue in place of the 'SB" of Nike SB, on the printed inner sole, it is stitched in red into the outside of the shoe and most impressively it's laminated into the shoe lace tips. This Low Dunk also has a 3M theme running through the design, with the lace loop and the logo on the tongue utilising the reflective fabric. The leather Nike Swoosh also sits on a 3M bed, plus QUARTER STRIKE printed on corresponding heel tabs and even an ultra-bright back up pair of silver laces. It's enough to make anyone hit the streets at night.
