Constructed from brushed cotton dobby flannel, this Prestonsburg Shirt from Dickies has an all over yarn dyed check print coloured in tones of forest green, mustard, cream and black. The front is fastened by small black buttons which lead to a pointed collar neckline and a woven Dickies horseshoe label has been attached close to the bottom of the button placket. On the left side of the chest a large patch pocket has a flap closure secured by a small black button and over the right shoulder an addition fabric overlay brings a utilitarian look to the design. The long sleeves have wide cut cuffs with single button fastenings which allows the fabric to be rolled to suit. The hem of the body has a straight finish.
Remaining a staple shirt style in any casual wardrobe, the plaid shirt originates in Wales where a worsted yarn fabric was developed to offer protection from the elements during harsh winters. Still representing warmth and durability, colour experiments keep the classic print fresh whilst retaining an authentic look, and for autumn/winter ‘19 Dickies have brought their own design character to the silhouette with custom detailing.
