Cut to a regular fit from premium white cotton, this Carhartt x Motown Pocket T-Shirt references the 1970 album by The Miracles which was recorded by Motown Records in Detroit. Inspired by the cover art of the original release, this t-shirt has a shaped pocket positioned on the left side of the chest with stylised ‘A Pocket Full of Miracles’ text and a centralised collaborative woven label showing the Motown Records logo and ‘Carhartt’ lettering below in the iconic shade of prism violet purple. The curved neckline has a wide flexible trim which supports comfort and fit retention over time whilst the body and short sleeves have straight cut hems for a clean look. The reverse is plain and an additional woven label showing the twinned logo has been added onto the inner nape of the neck.
In celebration of 60 years of Motown, Carhartt have designed a thirteen-piece capsule collection that references some of the best loved artists from the record label across t-shirts, jackets and sweats. Presenting their own take on the famous album cover that features an illustration of the band members of ‘The Miracles’ sat within a pocket to portray the idea of ‘A Pocket Full of Miracles’ in reflection of the album name, the 1970 soul album by The Miracles reached the top ten Billboard R&B albums chart in the same year and includes the hit song ‘Point It Out’ which was later covered by The Jackson Five.
