Polar Skatelife Hoodie

Arriving for SS19 in a monochromatic colourway, the Polar Skatelife Hoodie has been cut from 350gsm 100% cotton for a heavyweight comfort to suit any activity. It’s unbrushed lining has been combined with a wide fit to provide enough room for a natural range of motion in the body, while also offering layering options throughout winter. Additionally a ribbed trim has been added across the waistline and sleeve cuffs to maintain its silhouette through movement. A two panel hood helps provide protection against the elements, with added drawstrings for a customisable fit to improve ventilation. Final functional details include a kangaroo pocket in the centre. The body has been decorated with a screenprint of the words ‘skatelife’ flanking the yin-yang symbol.

Polar was founded in 2011 by Pontus Alv, who drew from his childhood skating through Malmo’s suburbs in the nineties to inspire the brand. Aesthetic influences include minimalist detailing as well as modern art, having collaborated recently with Jacob Ovgren and Tynan Kerr. This piece has been influenced by the team’s recent trip to Japan on the ‘Boy With The Dragon Tattoo’ tour.
