Constructed to a 1991 Shape, this I Like It Here Harbour Deck from Polar is a team model and features references to the 2016 Polar Skate Co. skate film 'I Like It Here Inside My Mind, Don't Wake Me This Time'. The topside has a full colour wash and a rectangular print of a photograph showing the Louvre Pyramid can be seen above the lower set of truck holes with the films title above and below in addition to 'Polar Skate Co.' The underside is covered by a full length monochrome photograph of a figure reaching after an umbrella, which is a favourite shot from one of the brands most celebrated films.
Known for referencing topics from outside of skateboarding, Polar Skate Co. founder Pontus Alv has developed a distinctive aesthetic since founding his company in 2011 and continues to portray the character across seasonal collections of apparel, accessories and skate decks, in addition to experimental films. For summer '20 the first pro deck for Shin Sanbongi has been introduced alongside new styles adorned with custom artwork and considered detailing.
