Polar Shin Sanbongi Freedom Wheel Well Surfshape Deck

Measuring to 8.75" in width, this white Freedom Wheel Well Surfshape Deck from Polar has arrived for summer and is one of the first Shin Sanbongi signature models to be designed in celebration of the pro riders arrival onto Polar Skate Co.'s international team. Made from high quality 7 ply Canadian maple and manufactured in Mexico by BBS, the artwork seen on the top and underside has been created by Isaiah Kennedy and taps into Sanbongi's surf and skate roots having grown up in Chigasaki, Japan. An illustration of a character relaxing in a hammock positioned between palm trees can be seen on the topside against a full colour wash background across the board, whilst on the underside a image of a surfer riding a tube has been sketched in monochrome with Japanese symbols to one side and 'Surf Model Designed by Shin Sanbongi' text below.

As Polar Skate Co.'s latest pro team rider addition, Shin Sanbongi is known for his smooth skate style which has been developed through his love for surfing and watching his dad who raised him with a healthy balance of skateboarding and surf. Growing up in Chigasaki, on the coast to the south from Tokyo and home to surfing in Japan, Sanbongi caught the eye of Polar founder Pontus Alv whilst on a skate trip with Uru from Kukunochi distribution and has since been officially made pro in the spring of 2020.
