Paying homage to his own family history Polar founder Pontus Alv has found archival imagery for this 8.25" Probability Studies Deck design which features a full length print across its underside. Made from high quality 7-ply Canadian maple, the design is noted to have been created by Bengt Alv and displays a variety of images of balloons, dice and an original photo of a family member with a note reading 'Serie nr12' above '102' indicating a study of chance and probability.
Taking inspiration from creativity, culture and nearby surroundings in Polar's home city of Malm, Sweden, this season sees a fresh selection of high quality skate decks adorned with personal photographs, experimental illustrations and abstract artwork created especially for the collection by guest artists such as Ron Chatman and Toshikazu, team riders Tynan Kerr and Hjalte Halberg as well as founder Pontus Alv. Renowned for oversized cuts across apparel and creative prints on accessories and skate decks, Polar continues to gain momentum with each seasonal release.
