This new season Patagonia Line Logo Ridge Pocket Reponsibili-Tee T-Shirt is made from 5.6-oz 50% recycled cotton/50% postconsumer recycled polyester, which sets the tone for 100% recycled collections to come. Cut to a regular fit, the curved neckline has a ribbed trim which allows for flexibility whilst the shoulder seams are taped to aid fit retention. On the front, a small patch pocket has been added onto the left side with white ‘Patagonia’ text screen printed on top using PVC and phthalate-free inks. On the reverse, larger artwork shows a rework of the brands classic mountain range design with a colourful striped background, sketched white and black mountain and silver ‘Patagonia’ text below. The short sleeves and body have straight cut finishes which allows the fabric to sit loosely.
Patagonia have updated a selection of their core styles with both part and fully recycled materials which points towards the next evolution within their design process. Continually inspiring others and leading the way when it comes to sustainable practise, SS19 looks to the Tarkine region of Tasmania for colour and print inspiration, whilst also highlighting the dangers the natural environment faces from industrial developments.
