A new outerwear style from Parlez for winter, the Northwestern Jacket offers protection from the elements through a lightweight nylon taslon outer and a smooth poly/cotton lining. Enhanced by a colour block design, with a black upper body and sleeves against a lower forest green section and white accents around the chest and enhancing the hood, the front is fastened by a full length zip which is concealed by placket secured by snap buttons. The hood has a protective peak that directs water away from the face and can be adjusted using an internal drawcord system. On the inner left side of the chest a zip secured compartment offers space to carry small essential items and on either outer side of the waist patch pockets have been added with velcro secured flap closures and additional side storage sections. On the upper part of the left sleeve another patch pocket has been added with a shaped flap closure and has an embroidered design that brings distinctive branding to the style with large stylised ‘Parlez’ lettering in white above ‘1989’. The hem of the body is slightly shaped around the reverse for a flattering finish and the sleeves have adjustable velcro cuffs.
Showing progression within their design process, Parlez have introduced a selection of refined outerwear designs as part of their winter ‘19 collection which feature bold colour block designs and make use of practical, protective fabrics. Reimagined vintage sportswear graphics and silhouettes feature throughout, as well as muted tones such as navy, black and forest green which are enhanced by brighter pops of yellow, orange and light blue.
