Adidas Superstar 80's 'Blondey' Shoes

£90.00

White, Core Black, Gum

Designed in collaboration with London skateboarder, model and business owner Blondey McCoy this custom pair of adidas Superstar 80’s shoes introduce a new range of materials that together result in a never-before-seen look across a classic footwear model. Clear TPU quarter panels allow you to see directly through the uppers to reveal whatever colour of sock you’ve chosen for the day whilst black synthetic leather side stripes bring signature branding to either side of the foot with ventilation holes in between that support breathability. The synthetic leather eyestay holds the white cotton laces in place on top of a flexible tongue which is branded with a printed blue ‘the brand with the three stripes' logo. On the outer side of the foot golden ‘Blondey’ lettering signifies the pro model. As a signature style of the adidas Superstar the brown rubber toe vamp has a textured shell design which sits above the sticky gum rubber outsole that widens around the heel. Adding further branding a leather heel mustache provides a background for the famous adidas trefoil logo design in white and is padded on the inside for comfort. A herringbone tread pattern provides boardfeel and a high level of grip.

As a nod to Blondey’s own preference of skating in socks and shorts three pairs of custom football-inspired socks accompany each pair of the Adidas Superstar 80's 'Blondey' Shoes which have different looks coloured in white, blue and red. Graphics inspired by the River Thames feature across all three whilst the white pair emphasizes the collaboration with ‘Blondey’ and ‘adidas’ lettering, the blue pair reads ‘St.Giles’ and ‘Cambridge’ whilst the red pair has ‘Piccadilly’ and ‘Oxford’ which each highlight the riders home district of Soho. Designed to fold under the knee a wide ribbed trim helps to keep the fit in place.

Packaged within a neat two-drawer box branded with the adidas trefoil logo in white with matching cord pulls this collaboration marks a milestone for London skater Blondey McCoy who continues to gain attention for his art, style and personality. As one of his own favourite footwear styles to skate in the adidas Superstar was selected to carry his own custom design whilst inspiration from Soho and Blondey’s own ties within high fashion have resulted in the stand out aesthetic that allows you to customise the final look.
