Reminiscent of classic team sportswear, this Vans x Sci-Fi Fantasy Jersey has been designed in collaboration with the iconic skateboarder Jerry Hsu and features collaborative graphics and pops of white and green against a true blue coloured body. Made from lightweight polyester, the body has been cut to a regular fit and the relaxed collar neckline features a stitched detail in addition to tri colour stripes around the collars edge above. On the right side of the chest a stylised ‘X’ emblem has been stitched in golden yellow coloured thread which matches the Vans logo on the other side. Centrally below and to a larger scale bold ‘Sci-Fi’ lettering has been printed in white with Chinese characters below which translate to read ‘Common Technology’. For a clean finish the body and short sleeves have straight cut hems.
Launched in 2017 Sci-Fi Fantasy is former pro skateboarder Jerry Hsu’s own label and taps into his creative talents with graphics that tap into his upbringing by two computer engineers. Having turned pro aged 16, Hsu decided to take a break from skateboarding in recent years to pursue his interests outside of the sport, including photography and graphic design. Known for his photo blog ‘Nazi Gold’ which was setup in 2009, Jerry published his first book ‘The Beautiful Flower Is the World’ last summer.
