Designed in collaboration with Copenhagen based skate store Street Machine these Vans Sk8-Low Pro Shoes have panelled uppers made from a combination of durable materials which bring a refined, low key finish to the skate-focused silhouette. Dress blue coloured textured ripstop sits on either side of the foot and black leather side stripes have been added on top with neat white top stitching. The toe vamp is made from black suede that continues across the top of the cushioned tongue which sits below true white cotton laces and a woven Vans Off The Wall label wraps around its top edge. Around the back of the heel a curved black suede overlay helps to strengthen the area whilst a bright white faux leather curved insert sits above with an embossed outline of the Vans text logo. On the inside an UltraCush HD sockliner provides protection from impacts and is customised by an all over grey tone marble print design. The true white rubber outsole features reinforcement around the toe cap for durability whilst a red Vans Off The Wall stamp can be found on the back of the heel and underfoot a signature waffle outsole ensures a high level of grip.
Having first joined forces back in 2012 with a three piece collection of footwear inspired by Copenhagen’s most iconic skate spots, Vans have hit up Street Machine once more to create two new footwear styles for the end of 2019 that pay homage to the famous Jarmers Plaza. Founded in 1989 in Paris, Street Machine founder Tobia Sloth opened a second store in San Diego before heading back home to open a third branch in Copenhagen in 1996 which soon became a hot spot in the city for both skaters and streetwear fans.
