Seen here in a sea salt and blue colourway, these New Balance Numeric 440 Shoes have grid mesh uppers with durable suede overlays around the toe, border of the laces and around the back of the heel. Perforation has been added at the top of the toe vamp for ventilation, which is furthered by the padded tongue which has a breathable mesh top layer. Flat off-white cotton laces provide a secure fit and a woven New Balance label wraps around the top edge of the tongue showing Numeric branding above ‘440’ to signify the model. On either side of the foot bold blue ‘N’ shapes have been cut from faux leather for further branding and match a small curved insert around the top of the heel. Decorative circular cut outs wrap around the base of the heel and reveal blue underneath. The ankle is lined with cushioned mesh for support and a N-Durance rubber compound sits underfoot for maximum outsole durability. A cupsole with a multi-directional tread pattern completes the design.
As a low-cut everyday shoe for both skating and casual wear, the New Balance Numeric 440 blends leading edge technology with soft cushioning to provide high quality impact support and cushioning. Known best for their running shoes, the Numeric line was introduced in 2013 and focuses on shoes for skateboarding that remain true to the brands established aesthetic and reputation for performance footwear.
