Designed in collaboration with Brooklyn based Jenkem magazine, this premium edition of the classic Converse Jack Purcell Pro Ox model has smooth rubber backed black leather uppers with suede ollie patch overlays on either side of the foot for added durability. The monochrome silhouette offers a classic aesthetic with gold metallic ‘Jenkem’ lettering printed towards the back of the heel which matches two metal eyelets inserted on the inner edge of the foot for ventilation. The satin tongue sits below black flat cotton laces with branded aglets which loop through silver eyelets for a secure fit and subtle stylised embroidery added at the top reads ‘Look’ and ‘Alive’ between either shoe for additional character. CONS traction rubber has been selected for the outsole with thick white rubber toe caps increasing impact protection and abrasion resistance, in addition to a signature black ‘smile’ insert which defines each Jack Purcell model. On the back of the heel a reflective panel of fabric has been added and on the inside a custom printed moulded PU sockliner provides all day comfort whilst highlighting the collaboration.
Completed by a herringbone tread pattern and a subtle branded heel toe cap, this Jack Purcell model has been designed especially with Jenkem Magazine, an online publication founded in 2011 that focuses on skateboarding and culture. Featuring interviews with pro skaters, graphic artists, musicians and industry professions, Jenkem has built an online community through their tongue in cheek approach to presenting the latest news.
