Designed for everyday wear this prism violet Carhartt x Motown Sublabels Long Sleeve T-Shirt is made from premium cotton and features an array of screen printed graphics along the top of both sleeves as well as on the chest and reverse. Showing a collaborative logo design that signifies a partnership between Carhartt and Motown in celebration of the label’s 60th anniversary, on the left side of the chest a bold ‘M’ emblem sits above ‘Carhartt’ text and is set within an outlined square for impact. Across both sleeves grey tone icons with stylised typography and illustrations highlight the history surrounding the label and important events of the time. On the reverse the design continues with stylised ‘Solid Soul’ text which sits above a large piece of text highlighting the story behind Motown with a selection of square logos underneath.
Founded by Berry Gordy Jr in 1959 in Detroit, a name inspired by the city’s reputation for being the biggest manufacturer of Ford cars at the time, Motown Records is responsible for establishing iconic music artists such as Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson 5 and Stevie Wonder who together changed the sound of American pop music and diversified soundwaves all over the world.
