The Carhartt Madison Jacket has been updated for FW19 with low-wale cotton cord for a durable finish built against daily wear-and-tear. It’s relaxed fit offers room for layering throughout the cooler season, while an elasticated trim to the cuffs and waistline helps secure its shape through movement. Internally the body has been lined with cotton poplin for improved insulation during the winter, while a full-length zipper fastening offers a customisable fit built to suit style or comfort. The jacket has been dressed in cold blue, with a contrasting tone of dark navy seen in the embroidered chase logo on the left chest. Final details include two vertical hand pockets.
Carhartt WIP was established in the late nineties, following the endorsement of its workwear brand in a continually growing number of subcultures from the sixties onwards. Known for its durability, Carhartt was first seen on skaters in the sixties but truly rose to prominence after having been seen in the 1995 film ‘La Haine’.
