Made from 100% cotton dyed to a slate colourway, this t-shirt from Butter Goods features a ‘I Got Life’ design which pays homage to the great Nina Simone and her 1968 classic ‘Ain’t Got No, I Got Life’. Covering the majority of the front the design features bold pink lettering to one side reading ‘Aint’ Got No - I Got Life’ with ‘Butter Goods Inc’ underneath and alongside a dark tone image of a woman sits below an illustration of a yellow butterfly with handwritten ‘I’ve got my freedom and I’m going to keep it’ text above. Designed for casual everyday wear the curved neckline has a flexible ribbed trim whilst the body and short sleeves have straight cut hems.
Continually inspired by their love of music, art and skateboarding, Butter Goods have released a new selection of artwork as part of their winter ‘19 collection which includes references to Nina Simone, old cartoon characters and planet earth. Known for their distinctive ‘90s inspired aesthetic and creative design style, Butter Goods are based in Perth, Western Australia and was founded in 2008 by two school friends Matt Evans and Garth Mariano.
