Polar SP22: Collection Overview

The Spring ‘22 collection for Polar Skate Co. features an array of new and returning Polar clothing staples. Exploring their European narrative and their passion for skate culture, our latest seasonal overview highlights a number of favourites from the Last Resort AB sibling brand’s most recent drop.

Inspired by ‘90s aesthetics and utilitarian necessity, all-new Polar trousers for Spring ‘22 include the high waisted and tapered Railway Chinos as well as the utilitarian Polar 93 Cargo Pants which are crafted from 100% heavyweight cotton and tailored with a baggy fit. Returning favourites such as the ultra baggy Polar Big Boy Jeans are also available in a cord variant, whilst classic Polar jeans include the vintage washed Polar ‘92 Denim and the straight legged ‘93 Denim. Honouring the transition towards warmer weather, Polar Surf Pants are crafted from 100% cotton twill with a woven elastic waist, whilst Polar shorts include the midweight Polar Big Boy Shorts and the fast drying Polar Square Stripe Swim Shorts.

New season artwork from the likes of Tynan Kerr and Jacob Ovgren appear across graphic Polar t-shirts such as the illustrative It Will Pass Fill Logo T-Shirt, the Fireworks T-Shirt and the cartoonish Basketball T-Shirt, whilst the Stripe Shin T-Shirt is styled with a vintage waffle knit construction and the circular stroke detailed Rios Ringer T-Shirt is available in colour block shades inspired by retro gym wear aesthetics. Long sleeve Polar tees include the cuffed Polar Stripe Shin Long Sleeve T-Shirt and Paul Grund’s bleach dyed Leaves and Window tee, whilst new season checkered profiles include the workwear influenced Flannel Shirt and both the Big Boy Flannel and contrast stitched Polar Big Boy Shirt. Team rider and American skater Emile Laurent introduces his own custom designed two-piece capsule for Spring ‘22, featuring the colour matched and artistic Polar Emile Art Shirt and the jacquard knit Emile Knit Crewneck Sweatshirt.

Polar sweaters and Polar hoodies for SP22 include the vintage style Multistripe Fleece Pullover and the Stripe Zip Neck Sweatshirt - both styled with horizontal striped details and a quarter-length YKK zipper fastening. Colour block shades of black and heather grey appear across favourites such as the Default Sweater and the Polar Default Hoodie, whilst the monochrome Polar Stroke Logo Hoodie is a minimalistic long sleeve sleeve layer that celebrates the brand’s iconic circular logo as its focal point. For unexpected cold spells and wet weather outings, the water resistant Coach Jacket features a polyester mesh lining, elasticated cuffs and reflective branding, with the vintage style Polar Jean Jacket a workwear inspired layer styled with exposed stitchings and classic denim wear buttons throughout.

Everyday accessories and essentials include Polar caps such as the Lightweight Ripstop Cap and the dad fit Skate Dude Cap, with the Polar Happy Sad Socks styled with Polar’s iconic smiley face and sad face logo woven across each toe box. For stay at home days as well as days spent in the office, new Polar mugs include the Polar Fill Logo Mug, whilst Jacob Ovgren artwork, also seen on new Polar t-shirts, appears across both the Fireworks and Basketball Mugs. Designed in collaboration with premium unisex eyewear brand Sun Buddies, a label known for their recent releases alongside the likes of Carhartt WIP and Stussy, all-new Polar sunglasses are designed with tinted Carl Zeiss lenses and Italian acetate frames, with the Polar x Sun Buddies Lubna Sunglasses styled with a sportier shape than the squarer Polar x Sun Buddies Junior Jr. Sunglasses.
