Helping celebrate Independent’s 40th anniversary, the duo of Californian based iconic skate companies have teamed up to launch an exclusive range of apparel and footwear.
A key player in this special collab is the Vans x Independent Sk8-Hi Pro Shoes in spruce. The dark emerald green outer is made from suede and canvas, with contrasting white stitching and a durable black leather side stripe. The UltraCush HD sockliners make for extra comfort and provide the highest level of impact cushioning by helping keep your foot close to the board. The signature rubber waffle sole, in orange, has been chosen, known to give a high level of support and grip. Additional features include the Pro Vulc Lite construction which gives quality traction, flex and boardfeel. Plus, the addition of DURACAP™ - the shoe underlays have been reinforced in high-wear areas helping to ensure durability from the hardest wear damage.
Designed in a classic hi-top style with some distinct details such as the distinguished Independent black cross logo in a quad on the midsole, Independent logo on the heel counter, red Vans logo on the heel and quality emerald green cotton laces. Plus, borrowing inspiration from Independent's silver trucks, a single metallic silver foxing stripe has been added on the outsole. The guys at Vans and Independent have wrapped up a serious amount of detail in a classic, super durable hi-top style.
